A little help!
by: Anonymous

My wife and I got married in Chatham in 2001. We would like to stay at maybe a house rental more towards Yarmouth. Any ideas on were would be a good place to stay. We will be arriving 10/2-10/12 and would like to if we can afford it spend our 10 year anniversary on the Cape. Any help would be appreciated!

Stay in Dennis
by: Elena

Hi,
Because this is your first time there is so much you are going to want to see so we would advise staying in Dennis. Dennis is centrally located and has 11 beautiful beaches on both the bay and the ocean. In addition it is centrally located to the Old Kings Highway (6A) on the bay: this is the true Cape. A quaint scenic drive with foligae through several villages with many art galleries, wine bars, museums, coffee cafes, B and B’s, great restaurants, organic farms etc. In the fall I would reccomend the Old Yarmouth Inn, in the bar, in Yarmouthport for dining or the Old Pheasant in Dennis. Both on 6A. If you would consider cottgae rental blog me back.

by: FAB4VACA

HEY OUT THERE- I DONT REALLY KNOW HOW THIS BLOGGING STUFF WORKS, BUT HERE IT GOES. MY FRIENDS AND I ARE PALNNING A TRIP TO CAPE COPD IN 2013(YEAH I KNOW BUT THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM).SO WHATS A GIRL FORM CALIFORNIA TO DO? FIND ME A PEN PAL THAT’S WHAT. I NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO KNOW THE CAPE INSIDE AND OUT. ANY LOCALS OUT THERE? WE’RE NOT REALLY INTO THE TOURIST THING- LONG LINES AND CROWDS. MORE INTO OFF THE BEATEN TRACK, NATURAL BEAUTY, QUAINT OLD TIME CAPE COD FEEL. WE ALSO LIKE ALITTLE ADVENTURE. AUTUMN IN THE SEASON WE WILL BE TRAVELING AND FROM WHAT I CAN GATHER THATS TOO LATE FOR WHALE WATCHING OF KYAKING. IS THIS TRUE? ANYWAY-LOOKING FOR SOME REAL NOR EASTER NO-HOW ON VACA ADICE.

First Time to Cape Cod

Anyone recommend staying at Ashley Manor? The
reviews were very good and room rates seem
reasonable. We are hoping the setting is as
pretty as it looks on the website. Any advice?

First Time to Cape Cod

Thanks howiekap! I appreciate your comments about
where to stay on the Cape but could you explain why
you said to avoid Hyannis and Yarmouth? We will
be coming in the Fall so we were hoping to avoid
all the crowds. I would appreciate any advice
you or others can give me. Thanks!

first time on cape
by: howiekap

I am partial to Eastham…stay at the Whalewalk Inn. you can travel easily from here to Provincetown, Truro and Wellfleet north, to Orleans and Chatham south. The Outer cape is the place to see………stay away from Yarmouth and Hyannis
